MEJ- ALL ABOUT THE RH BILL!

My sister Mej Del Rosario is all about the Reproductive Health Bill. In my interview with her she said that she was all about EDUCATION. She is one of the people who believe that the root of this problem is the lack of education. In reality, there are plenty of thirteen-year-old girls who get pregnant. These girls do not know that if they engage into sexual activities they would get pregnant. Hence, they do not know how difficult it would be and how life is.

“The thing is fine fine, overpopulation but what happens to the kind of kid they raise?”

Men and women who are in poverty are not very well privilege to get into good schools and have quality education hence the reason why they are not able to get jobs that pay well or enough. This has been the propelling system and cycle. She has also mentioned that it is true that the reproductive health bill targets the “youngsters” since their parents do not know well about sex education too! And the thing is, the reproductive health bill would not be presented in manner of making it a joke. It would be presented in the classroom just like any other science class they take. It is absolutely not going to be disgusting, provocative and informal. It would be explained like “this is the sperm and then when it meets the egg this happens” and that it is painful. Sex is part of the human body, it is but just right to be able to study things about it in school as well, much like the eye. Our country is so conservative to the point that it is very hard to distinguish what is sincere and not anymore.

However, she also says that she is not about the contraceptives (abortafficient), just take these kinds of contraceptives and put the education then that’s it! The only reason why it is taking this long is because they are talking so much about it, they arguments and reasons are becoming like a cycle- they just keep repeating the same old issues. They have also reached the point where in they have threatened the president of the country Noynoy Aquino to be excommunicated for the reason of him supporting this bill as well.

See if one would take the bible literally it going to be very difficult however, if you think critically about it when god said multiply he also meant that parents should be responsible for taking care of their child’s fundamental needs and holistic being. They ought to make sure that they are able to send their children to school, provide food and shelter for them and most especially raise them well as good citizens of their country. They cannot just go on having kids and let them wander off the streets because this is what is specifically happening in our country. Kids who belong to a poor family are starting to learn how to work, wash their clothes, carry boiling water for food and etc. THAT IS CHILD ABUSE! These kids should be playing around in a safe place and learning in school not working.
