LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF THE RH BILL IS PASSED. WHO KNOWS??

Patricia Natividad:

For me, the idea of RH bill is acceptable, provided there should still be balance and acceptance from both parties. If we are to say that the implementation of the RH Bill is to suppress or alleviate the growing population of our country, the Republic of the Philippines, then we might be missing the point. The RH Bill may be of help to this but I do not think that this is the answer or the solution to the prevailing and on going problem.

I think that the most rightful thing to do is to educate. Educate people from all walks of life, from all levels of education and all fields of the industry. Regardless if you can or cannot sustain or simply feed one family member. We should instill awareness in the minds of the Filipino people to start “family planning” especially, without any biases, to the illiterates or the uneducated for the very obvious reason that they do not know and because they do not know and they are not aware, they would not care. On another note, people from the middle to the higher classes do not give them any access to by pass and over look the system too, otherwise, they are also not being of any help to the program. In connection to that, since the lower classes do not have the sense of “responsibility”, if I may put that in quotation, they keep procreating, which is not a wrong thing to do, but they are not careful to what is ahead of them and these are the consequences to further poverty as more and more children are being added to their families, with a low paying job, sometimes even not so decent jobs just to try to sustain the family which leads to a growing population.

In conclusion, there really is nothing wrong in pro-creation, it was even commanded to us in the Holy Bible, “Go, therefore and multiply” but I also believe that the Lord commanded this within reasons and that is the reason why we have leaders and people in position to have these “reasons” be implemented.

I believe that my good friend Patricia presented really valid and concrete reasons too as to why the prolong reproductive health bill should be passed. Aside from being a firm believer too, it is actually the future of the coming generations that our leaders should be more aware of. If the cycle continues, the reproductive health bill being passed over and over again and nothing’s being considered as a solution for this problem then we would have a generation that will just get worse or remain the same. No change at all and as a third world country that is awfully tragic to settle for. Our country should aim high, this is one of the ways to solve the problem of poverty, lack of education, better health and finding jobs that will suffice for a good lifestyle. IMPLEMENT THE RH BILL NOW AND LET’S TAKE IT FORM THERE.
